This is the first time that I have braved writing and putting my thoughts into action. I am not as good as my nieces. I look up to them and wonder at their knowledge of things. I am older than they are but sometimes I feel like I am a late bloomer in the ways of thinking. But no one is to old to learn and keep their minds active.
The last few months I have discovered playing Sudoku. I can't get enough working with the numbers. You will often see me watching a movie or T.V. and working a Sudoku problem.
I remember I bought an easy Sudoku book thinking that I would work the problems. I read the instructions thinking that I could do it. I ended up throwing the book across the room because I just couldn't work the them. In fact, my sweet cat Taffy and my busy dog Trixie decided to chew on the pages. This book I gave to my niece chewed pages and all. I don't know if she has worked on any of them. Then one day in November, I bought a big Sudoku book of problems. I again read the instructions and low and behold a light bulb clicked on. And since then I can't put the books down to do anything else. I know it is a time waster (I hope I spelled that word right because I am known as the world's worst speller) but I love doing them. They are very fun to work at when you have a little time to waste.
It is always good to try new things. It is often true to try, try, try, again because it just might work out.
