Celebrities

Why! Oh Why do we spend so much time on female celebrities that are spoiled and have no control of their lives. And I think you all know who I am talking about. This week one of them was let out of jail, after serving 3 days. Oh my! Oh my! What a spoiled little girl we have here. And now a head doctor is examing her to see what kind of problems she has mentally. I know one problem she has and that is enabling parents and her not being able to solve her own problems. She has money and money talks. Now if it was me there, I wouldn't have a chance to get out early. They would keep me there until my sentence was up. I think we live in a world where we have a double standard. I believe that these young women think that they are above the law. But it is a good thing that I don't agree with their life style of drugs, sex and drinking. I feel sorry for them. I find it interesting that the one with the Hilton name is always in the news, but the Marriott family is very quiet and not in the news. I wonder why? Is it because of their upbringing and religion.
I would rather give my money to the Marriotts than the Hiltons because just because of their life style.

God Does Answers Prayers

I just got back from the Eastlawn Cemetary in awe of my Heavenly Father. I got there and should have zigged when I zagged. Which means that I got lost, I was there for about an hour hunting my parents graves. But I couldn't find them. Several people wanted to help. In the meantime, I offered up a little prayer to my Heavenly Father. Someone said if the office was opened I could ask for a map. When they said office, that got me to thinking that was close to where my parents were buried. I found them with the help of my Father in Heaven and listening to what the people said. He does answers paryers. I know it is true because He helped me today.

Actors

I have been thinking about acting a lot and have come up with this difinition of an
actor. Here goes I think it surprised me a little when I thought it up. A difinition of an actor is one who is at child's play. They love to play pretend and they love to play dress up. They never want to grow up.

COOKING

Last week, one of the ward members asked me to whip up a double batch of choclote chips cookies and roll 8 balls and line them up on a square sheet of tinfoil. I was to make 12 logs of 8 balls squished together. But the week went by so fast that I didn't have time to make them until Saturday. I got them done. She came by and collected the frozen logs and gave me one in turn with a lesson on fire safety. I recieved the recipe for a single batch and a double batch. The cookies turned out quite tasty so here are both recipies for you. I am not sure if you need to do what I did with putting the cookies in the freezer. But I think that you could make them and cook them that same day.

1 (12 oz) bag chocolate chips

Sasha

Meet my pal Sasha. He came to me in the fall of 2000 by way of my sister and brother in law's home. He has had an interesting life with us. He was taken away from some mean boys that had a string tied around him and they were dragging him out of the mud. My brother in law noticed the boys doing it and he took him away from them and brought him home. He nicknamed Sasha (mudpuddle). That happened a few months after my mom died. He stayed with them in a small room for 4 years.
One day I asked if they would like me to take him home with me to Panguitch (means Big Fish ).
So he came home with me and became my pal. At first, I would lose him. I would look all over the house for him. Then one day I discovered that he jumped up on the counter in the kitchen, then the frig and on up top of my cupboards. He became used to the house and my other cat Lacey. Boy! did he rock from then on. He loved to run and play while I made the bed. He loved that house. When I would come home at the end of the day, he would always greet me at the door just as a dog would. He would follow me all over the house. Sasha is a very quiet cat and doesn't make any noise.
I have another cat and both of them are spade and neuterd. But Sasha stills wants to be a daddy, which makes me laugh. He is so funny. I want you all to know that Sasha is a perfect gentleman and he loves to be near people that he likes. But watch out if he doesn't like you, You will be hissed at all the time you are around. Ask my family and they will tell you.
Message always spay and neutuer your pets and keep the population down. I cry when I hear about how many pets they put to sleep every year.

First Time

This is the first time that I have braved writing and putting my thoughts into action. I am not as good as my nieces. I look up to them and wonder at their knowledge of things. I am older than they are but sometimes I feel like I am a late bloomer in the ways of thinking. But no one is to old to learn and keep their minds active.
The last few months I have discovered playing Sudoku. I can't get enough working with the numbers. You will often see me watching a movie or T.V. and working a Sudoku problem.
I remember I bought an easy Sudoku book thinking that I would work the problems. I read the instructions thinking that I could do it. I ended up throwing the book across the room because I just couldn't work the them. In fact, my sweet cat Taffy and my busy dog Trixie decided to chew on the pages. This book I gave to my niece chewed pages and all. I don't know if she has worked on any of them. Then one day in November, I bought a big Sudoku book of problems. I again read the instructions and low and behold a light bulb clicked on. And since then I can't put the books down to do anything else. I know it is a time waster (I hope I spelled that word right because I am known as the world's worst speller) but I love doing them. They are very fun to work at when you have a little time to waste.
It is always good to try new things. It is often true to try, try, try, again because it just might work out.
